Basmedicin
Vår basmedicinutbildning är anpassad till
akupunkturutbildningen och ger allmänmedicinska kunskaper i anatomi, fysiologi,
sjukdomslära och farmakologi, och mycket mer. Utbildningen är godkänd av
Svenska Akupunktur Förbundet. Utbildningen pågår under 4 terminer och
motsvarar 60hp universitetsutbildning.
I kursavgiften ingår 2 böcker, 1 per år. Övriga böcker står studentetna själva
för.

Alan Williams
BA (Hons), MA, PGCE, ND, DO

|
Alan Williams is a very experienced Osteopath, Naturopath, Certified Practitioner of Pilates for Rehabilitation, Certified Yoga Teacher, and Certified CHEK Exercise Coach.
He graduated in 1991 from the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy (BCNO), now called the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in London, UK, after four years of full-time training. Alan has been in private practice since 1991 and has lectured on osteopathic medicine in the UK at BCOM (London) and at Oxford Brookes University (Oxford).
He is currently senior lecturer at the Stockholm College of Osteopathic Medicine (SCOM), where he teaches osteopathic technique, aystemic and regional anatomy, and serves as clinic tutor for the college osteopathic clinic. He has also acted as external assessor for postgraduate course validation at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) in London.
Alan Williams will teach Anatomy and Physiology of the musculoskeletal system.

Paolo Magrassi,
MD, Ph.D.
|
|
Dr. Magrassi received his post-graduate medical and surgical training as a Resident and Fellow in the USA and Canada in some of the most renowned academic medical Centers: Montrèal University, New York University, and Harvard University.
After some years spent as Professor of Surgery at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, staff surgeon at O.M. in Milano, and as corporate director of clinical research in a multinational pharmaceutical company, he participated in emergency & rehabilitation medical projects in Sub-Saharan Africa (Republic of Guinea, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo) during two years.
Dr. Magrassi returned to Italy in 2001, taking on the direction of a most respected Health & Medical Center focused on Integrative Medicine, combining strict conventional EBM and evidence-based CAM treatments. .
Paolo Magrassi will teach Pathology.

Karolina Skibicka,
Ph.D.
|
|
Dr. Skibicka is a medical researcher with more than eight years of research experience, six of those in medical research, with the field of expertise encompassing diseases of the metabolism, endocrine, and central nervous system disorders. Her experiences span three world-leading research centers in the United States and Sweden.
She received her BS degree from University of South Florida, specializing in biology and later complementing her studies with minors in psychology and chemistry. After research in molecular genetics/microbiology, she moved on to the field of neuroscience and completed doctoral studies at University of Pennsylvania with a thesis project on central nervous system control of food intake and metabolism
Today she works at the University of Gothenburg as a senior researcher.
Karolina Skibicka will teach Pharmacology.

Niklas Sposato,
DO.
|
|
Niklas S. Sposato works as an osteopath and clinic manager at the Institute for Orthopaedic Medicine in Gothenburg.
During his years at the clinic, Niklas has treated the premier division soccer players from IFK Göteborg and GAIS, dancers from the Gothenburg Opera Ballet, and members of the women's national team in Tae Kwon Do, to name but a few patient categories.
Since 2001 Niklas is also engaged as a lecturer and clinical tutor at universities and other educational institutions with a focus on manual (orthopedic) - and osteopathic medicine, both nationally and internationally.
Niklas mainly lectures on topics related to physical diagnosis and treatment and currently holds the position of module leader at Skandinaviska Osteopathögskolan, which is part of the University of Wales.
Niklas Sposato will teach "trigger points".

Nóra Kerekes,
Ph.D.
|
|
Dr. Kerekes is a medical researcher and university lecturer in experimental forensic psychiatric research at the University of Gothenburg. She received her M.Sc degree in Hungary as a biology and chemistry high school teacher and completed her Ph.D in neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet.
She combined teaching and research already as a university student. She has 17 years of experience as a university teacher (mainly in medical biology, histology, cell and molecular biology, human anatomy and physiology, biotechnology) and as many years in medical research (neuroscience/pain research, molecular genetics, addiction biology, and forensic psychiatry).
Nóra Kerekes is responsible for the Basic Medical Science program at “Akupunktur Akademin” and will teach cell biology, histology, and physiology.
